Laurenz Rieger was born on 7th January 2002 in Munich. He began fencing at the age of five, inspired by his older brother. In the youth category, he participated in numerous national and international competitions. He has also achieved success in the senior category. His most significant accomplishment to date is winning a bronze medal at the European Games 2023, both in individual and team events. In 2025, he will be part of the German development squad for men's foil.
