BIO
At the age of 16, Lilly was hit by a tram on her way to school and has been reliant on a wheelchair ever since. During her rehabilitation at a specialist clinic, she made her first contacts with wheelchair basketball and attended her first trial session in Rummelsberg just two days after her discharge. One of her greatest achievements came in 2023 when she became German champion with her team. She has also enjoyed success on the international stage with a fifth place finish at the U25 World Championship in Bangkok. These accomplishments were crowned by her being named Sportswoman of the Year 2024 in Nuremberg. In the same year, Lilly participated in the Paralympics in Paris, where the German team finished in sixth place. Through her story, perseverance, and determination, she inspires numerous young athletes.

I find it rewarding to be able to serve as a role model and to show others who are newly injured what is possible despite their disabilities.
